Produced by Brian Irwin. Music/Lyrics/Melody by Amber Rose Kelly.
Down the Line was written for a dear friend who struggles with addiction in an effort to get through to her. She was addicted to meth and heroin since she graduated from high school. I wrote this in an effort to make her stop, ... She cried when she heard it, but it didn't make her stop for a long time. After nearly 7 years of addiction, she's finally clean and sober finally and has a baby on the way in 2009!

Verse 1
You take the poison, hold it deep inside
You don't care that tomorrow
you might die
And all the things youâve aspired to
have left the door
And all the loved ones you had
are gone for sure
Chorus
Don't let this life bring you down
They're only sticks and stones
And you've been there before
Don't fear the after-shakes you'll get
Just think of all of the regrets you'll have
Later down the line
Down the line (3x)
Verse 2
Well I know she hurt you bad
And it seems too hard to mend
Well I've been there before girl
And it will happen once again
That is life as tragic as it may seem
But things will get better I swear if you just let it be
Chorus
Don't let this life bring you down
They're only sticks and stones
And you've been there before
Don't fear the after-shakes you'll get
Just think of all of the regrets you'll have
Later down the line
Down the line (3x)
Verse 3
You're so beautiful why can't you see
You can be anything you want to be
So why do you choose this empty life
full of misery
You just shoot it all away,
shoot away all your dreams
Chorus
Don't let this life bring you down
They're only sticks and stones
And you've been there before
Don't fear the after-shakes you'll get
Just think of all of the regrets you'll have
Later down the line
Down the line (3x)
