Story behind the song
I guess it's my response to the theme of the new Linkin Park album. I never really liked them anyway.
Lyrics
I heard a blind preacher scream, There aint no use in trying we're ripping at the seams, His words seemed ominous at first, until i checked what qualified the acid of his verse, It seems this man of authority projects himself defiantly but cowers within. He thinks we're minutes to midnight, But there's no need to fear the dawning of a new day... How can we control our future when we're forced to think theres not enough to go around? If we all listen to blind preachers, they'll take us all to our very own holes in the ground... I know theres a way through all this mist, But our beacon light refracts within a prism of misinformation, I know the rocks are getting closer, but our captain steers us awkwardly like a child lost, alone... And he screams, we're all without a future, his frightened heart can't seem to grip the damage he has done... But if we get of our knees, Take the helm of our lost ship, And remove the mask of our opressor, Whos face will we see? You and me...
