This is trying to be sort of heavy and ominous, with a bit of humor thrown in. I don't know how hip-hop it is, but it does have a break beat sort of thing going. :]
I wrote this song in an attempt to get on the soundtrack of "Dogma," the Kevin Smith film, which was being filmed in Pittsburgh. You can read the whole story on my web site.
okay, there's gonna be some hell to pay,
this time I'm gonna have my say,
hey, anyway, who said Armageddon had to be a bad day?
that's great, you know that I can hardly wait,
I'm lookin' to improve my state,
I won't hesitate, I'd hate not to consummate my fate
I got just a little somethin' to get your blood pumpin'
& everybody's heart a-thumpin'
cause we got to get goin', get the blood flowin'
fallen angels on the way, who said Armageddon had to be a bad day?
alright, I think I see the end in sight,
a simple case of fight or flight,
you know that I just might take to the sky and fly tonight...
and what's wrong if I take a few of you along?
your performance hasn't been too strong,
now, for a song, I'll waste this place & I'll be gone
'cause it's just a little somethin' to get your blood pumpin'
& everybody's heart a-jumpin'
'cause we to get goin', get the blood flowin'
fallen angels need to play, who said Armageddon had to be a bad day?
who said Armageddon had to be a bad day?
who said Armageddon had to be a bad day?
just a little somethin' to get your blood pumpin'
who said Armageddon had to be a bad day?
