Psalms 19:1-4
Each morning I drive to work accross this old resevoir (called Ladue) and sometimes the sunrise is just right to where I'm blessed to see this amazing beautiful scene of Gods great creation! That is what inspired the writing of this song. I started writing the song and didn't finish it until a couple weeks later when during my daily bible reading I read Psalms 19 and it just hit me square in the face. This song is the result; hope it makes you feel like your riding along with me.
Old Lake Ladue
Psalms 19:1-4
The heavens tell of the glory of God.
The skies display His marvelous craftsmanship.
As I drive across old lake Ladue, He opens up His canvas for me to view.
And the heavens tell of the glory of God.
I see a masterpiece of earth and sky, birds in flight and an icy land.
Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make Him known.
They speak without a word or a sound, their voice is silent in the skies;
Yet their message has gone out to all the earth, and their words to all the world.
And the heavens tell of the glory of God.
Changing colors across the skies, grays and blues I’ve never seen.
Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make Him known.
They speak without a word or a sound, their voice is silent in the skies;
And the heavens tell of the glory of God.
There’s no denying whose work this is. As I drive across old lake Ladue.
The heavens tell of the glory of God
And the heavens tell of the glory, and the heavens tell of the glory,
And the heavens tell of the glory of God.
