!00% Ensoniq SQ80. Borrowed the keyboard from a friend and he taught me how to operate the sequencer. This was the first thing I did with it.

Story behind the song
The tune is made up of bits of things I made up on the piano. It sounded to me like a theme for a TV show about paranormal stuff. The ability to title songs on the Ensoniq is limited, and I didn't really have a title for it but there wasn't room for "paranormal" so it got shortened to Parano, which I though was kind of cool, so stuck with it.
Incidentally, many years after I composed and recorded this song, the tv show "Fringe" (love the show) came out, and it's theme music has a very similar chord progression to Parano. They don't sound that much alike, and I'm not accusing anyone of copying me or anything... just thought it was interesting when I noticed it.
Of course the Ensoniq SQ80 was from the late 1980's, so it tends to make everything have that 80's sound to it, and I didn't add any guitar or anything else to it. It's far from a masterpiece, but as the first thing i sequenced on the Ensoniq, I thought it was worth saving.
