I suppose it's about meeting the girl next door and then messing with her 'purity' when she's around the wrong crowd, which in this case was me.

Story behind the song
I was writing about a girl I know that wanted a "happy" song, as she thinks my songs are all sad love songs. So I started out well intentioned of creating a happy love song about this girl, but it all ended up being another sad song to add to the massive pile.
Lyrics
Goodbye Apple Pie At a bar on the corner dragging a cigarette I tell you everything knowing that soon you'll forget As you tip back another my, you're getting so sly Just keep on drinking and I'll tell you why I'm loving that seductive look in your eye I'm thinking how you remind me of apple pie You're so good and sweet Go ahead and feed me some lies I'll devour them all and forgive you after tonight I'm loving that seductive look in your eye I'm thinking how you remind me of apple pie It's such a sweet high... until you whisper goodbye I wave to you goodbye But I never get you to reply Goodbye Goodbye
