Story behind the song
The song was the first attempt of the guitarist Zuracech at original composition. Rohan came to his house one day and playing Zuracech's guitar, "the Princess", he came up with a heavy, catchy tune that attracted Zuracech's attention. After improving on it for hours, the familiar guitar intro was obtained and he went on to compose the rest of the song. On a park bench, when discussing lyrics with Klaus, the words "Why did you have to leave me?" were written down. After much thought by the budding young lyricists, the two wrote the rest of the song. The song is primarily a homage to a girl that Klaus was dumped by. The song was not played by the original composer, however, as Zuracech could not make it to the recording session on the appointed day (something for which he is going to take revenge for one day).
Lyrics
When I first saw you I didn't like your smile But then I changed my mind After I looked into your eyes I tried Everything That came Into my mind When I first saw you I could tell we were meant to be When you smiled at me Instead of smiling back I freeze But then you turn around Walked out of my life and I fell down I tried Everything That came Into my mind You have To leave me
