Story behind the song
" Lost Her Head" originally started as a little acoustic "Beatle-Like" ditty and eventually morphed into a trippy, psychadelic, acid jazz like vibe. The muted trumpet was added when upon hearing a trumpet in a band rehearsing in an adjacent room to our recording sessions.Joe(In a lightbulb going off, brainstorming moment) said "that's it!"So,after a quick introduction a bit of coaxing we convinced the trumpet player to give a listen(Kiku Collins).Joe scatted some riffs to give her the idea and let the tape fly....total improv...Later he sorted through the track and placed and mixed the muted groovy trumpet in! Other Notes: The lead vocal was sang through a small Mountain practice amp. Listen w/ headphones...it's wild:)
