Story behind the song
The Christmas verse was added to Together in 2005, inspired by Paul Baloche's Christmas Offering. I'm always looking for new ways of expressing our joy in the Christmas season.
Lyrics
VERSE 1: Like the shepherds we have come to meet You in this place We’ve left our earthly cares behind, we want to seek Your face And like the wise men we have come to bring our offering To stand and praise the Holy One, and claim You as our King CHORUS: Together we lift our voices Together we stand here now and sing Together we raise our Hallelujahs to the King above all kings Together we lift our voices Together we stand here now and sing Together we offer up our praises to our Savior, Lord, and King. VERSE 2: We acknowledge You as the One, Creator of all things We praise You as our Guide and Friend, our soon and coming King We thank You as our blest Redeemer, the One who set us free The One who works within our lives to bring us unity. CHORUS
