Story behind the song
One mornign I awoke with this Irish Jig playing in my head! After getting it down with a tape recorder and a piano, I found a cassette labeled "Four New Songs" and dated 1997. I didn't even recognize the first song, now called the "Opening Theme" until it was nearly finished. Then I vaguely recalled setting these down in a Phoenix studio. It took only a moment to realize the similarity in melody if not texture between what I had just written and this piece from years before.
