A Song of Praise to the God of Creation
I was driving to work one day on the highway, and I saw the most amazing sunrise. A song of praise began to be born as I drove, and I realized that it was a "prairie sky" I was enjoying...one that couldn't be matched anywhere else but on the prairies.
A tapestry of color - of pinks and greys and blues,
The prairie sky is beckoning - another day made new.
The sky displays Your majesty - a crown of golden hue,
Magnificently sharing Lord - endless thoughts of You.
(CHORUS)
O' prairie sky, from God's own hand -
Shouts praises, all across the land.
O' prairie sky, it touches me -
Sing praises - for God's majesty,
For God's majesty.
Some say that it's too cold here - that it's no place to live.
Go where it's warm they tell us - the coast has more to give.
But this is where I want to stay - amid the prairie wheat.
With the prairie sky ablazin' - even when there is no heat.
(CHORUS)
