This song is about the North American fascination with military equipment-- specifically the FA-18 Hornet in this case. The character in this tune wants a Hornet.. [best on a good stereo with good strong bass/sub-bass].

Story behind the song
I have always wanted to do a tune that explored the single-sideband sound that comes from an SSB communications radio. This sound effect is like no other. To give it more expressive power, I put it into a jet fighter pilot context. Then to make it relate to the suburban man, I used the subcontext of an guy wanting to own a FA-18, just to keep up with the Jones (who have a hummer). The song also highlights this military euphemism "neutralized". Of course, our suburban man is a bit concerned about becoming "neutralized!"
Lyrics

[guitar] Neighbour has a jeep in the driveway The other is a great big humvee Now I want a fast FA-18! [guitar] "Hi, I'd like to order a Hornet." "Just one please." "Oh, can I get some Sidewinder missles with that?" "Do you take Visa or Master Charge?" "Ok, great!" [guitar] I don't wanna pass.. I don't wanna go.. I don't wanna get.. I don't wanna be.. "neutralized!" [guitar]
