Although heartbreaking to discover that war and conflict were not only common to Earth, the experience of space travel and the excitement of living amid alien civilizations was life-changing. Like many Terrans, Antarians believe that when you go through a devastating or destructive phase of time, one becomes somewhat less than before although stronger from the event. You are now "One Shade Transparent". No doubt my time on Tau Ceti 4 has left me shattered in so many ways. But my heart and more importantly my soul, have survived.
