I'm easily inspired either by personal experiences, things said in conversation, being given a challenge, or being moved or amused by something. Many genres.

Story behind the song
Evan Paul Kozaris of Canada is a good online friend, and an artist I've always admired. As is my way at times, it deals head on with the sad emotions surrounding the imminent death of a loved one who's totally unaware of anything. After all he'd been through a few years ago, he could relate to the words, and I love his interpretation of them. Evan wrote....."A British friend of mine sent me these lyrics as my family was going through a hard time with death and illness, she thought it would help. It's very hard to write lyrics about this subject. I'm sure everyone had a loved one, relative or friend who's time in this world had come to and end. This powerful pop song says it all. At the time, I was emotionally drained and couldn't do it, waited a couple of months, time heals, so the song took a little more positive feel, with a reminder, that we're not here for a long time". Lyrics
It's almost unbearable for my heart to take, Too absurd, to be for real, So impossible for me to make you happy now. It's almost like a big ship has gone aground, Hard 'cause we're wondering who to blame, Feels like there's angels all around, 'Cause you're almost like a snowflake in a flame. CHORUS You're almost like a snowflake in a flame my love, Almost like a snowflake in a flame, You're almost like a star that shines no more, Almost like a snowflake in a flame. It's all too consuming with no room to breathe, No way of talking with you, one to one, No there's nothing, nothing to bequeath, Like the final setting sun. You're nothing but a songbird who's lost the will to sing, Staring into nowhere, in a dream, Like a petal, fallen from the flower, In a true life movie, in a tragic scene. CHORUS Bridge There'll be mountains to climb, torments for my mind, But I'll do my best to watch over you, With raw emotions of the saddest kind, And I know you'll feel them too, We're almost at the end of a long road, Right at the end of the line, No more tender heart beats, No more......time.... A mere shadow is what I see now, With no real awareness of my love, A lifeless shadow of the former you, And I pray to the heavens above, It's like my own life's in tatters, Something like a poet who's lost his rhyme, But you're the only thing that matters now, And peace will be with you in time....
