A great, simple song celebrating the fact that, even though we don't deserve it, God gave us the greatest gift of all - he sent His son to take our pain and death by dying on the cross instead of us. Check it out!
This song was just an attempt to express the way I felt about Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for MY sins - not His, but MINE.
The sentiment expressed in this song leads neatly into "I Love The Rain" (also featured here), and we usually play the two songs back to back.
This version was recorded live at St Barnabas Church, Swanland on 17 May 2003.
Here in my weakness,
I've found a love that strengthens me
GIven through suffering, through blood and pain
Here as a captive,
I've found a love that rescues me
Given to pay for my sin and shame
Thank You Jesus,
For loving me, for saving me
Thank You Jesus
For hearing me, forgiving me
Thank You
And I could never have come to this place
Without the power of Your love
But in the knowledge of your saving grace
I come to You as heir
