Story behind the song
Just another track soleternity hit me with for the Nuclear winter album. Once I met anomelee, we clicked lyrically. Ran into him on myspace, his blog had a little typed freestyle on it and he asked for someone to "finish the rest". I typed a verse back at him, he hit me up. We became fast friends, a couple of professional young black men in L.A. who dig rare grooves and neo-soul and writin' rhymes. We then started a group, and I put him on my solo album. This is our first collab and the verse I wrote on his blog months ago became the last verse of this song verbatim. I guess you can say that since day one, California Soul has been destined. Two dope boys in some khakis and chucks. We fresh out the box with it.
