is a lyrical prayer, asking God to mold us into the individuals we need to be in order to bring Him glory.
Infinity's first real job was in the retail industry. Being placed in an atmosphere that allowed her to observe others, she found lots of inspiration to pen new songs.
"It was shocking to see how different age groups of people acted or supported a "popular trend", just because; regardless if it seperated them from God," says Infinity PHD.
Working in the lingerie section of a department store opened the eyes of the lyricist to the harsh realities of how much music influenced the youth.
"When "Sisqo" came out with "The Thong Song", I was shocked at how many children would mess up the department looking for thongs, because they were convinced that it would bring them the validation or attention they desired from the opposite sex."
Feeling compelled to change what was going on around her, the artist felt the need to address a few social issues concerning the youth of America.
"I didn't want to just talk about it like so many of us do,says Infinity. "We as a people do too much talking to one another about the issues that go on around us, without doing anything about it ourselves."
So, what did Infinity PHD do?
"I prayed," Infinity PHD says. "Prayed until the words to the song "Shape U.S." was manifested."
A track asking God to fix the issues that the youth were facing was made, praying the fix would come from the inside-out.
"I wanted to change my environment, but like Ghandi said, "We must be the change that we wish to see," says Infinity PHD. "It's cool to have the nice threads and the tight whip, but you've got to shine where it really count, and that's from within."
