As a hip hop laced response to the Destiny Child's single "Soldier", this song is guaranteed to make the saved brothers out there know that they are indeed appreciated.
Despite the world's definition of a soldier, Infinity PHD lyrically explains that a SOULJAH is not a "thug", but one who's divinely inspired to live a life of integrity.
She was motivated to write this song after hearing the Destiny Child's hit, "Soldier". Frustrated with the negative qualities of a man the group was glorifying, God moved upon Infinity PHD's heart to step out in faith and clearly define what a soldier was.
After penning the song in an hour, Infinity PHD was given a revelation on the spelling of the song's title.
"God just revealed to me that the title should be spelled S-O-U-L-J-A-H, and then I realized that it meant "soul for Jah" (Jehovah)," Infinity says. "Every real woman wants a man who's soul is on fire for the Lord, and who is wise because he lives a life that in-turn wins souls for Christ!"
