southern rock!
I've been writing songs for 18 years. I'm not the greatest musician/singer, but I love to play! I started playing when I couldn't get anyone to put the music that I wanted to my lyrics. I love to colaborate with other writers!

Story behind the song
I wrote this song just before my old band split up. It was pretty much what was going on with all of us at the time. Trying to make it work with others getting involved in "their own devices"! We felt so distant, yet we still seemed so close!
Lyrics
SAFE TO SAY Sometimes you want, things that you can't have and be it fortune or fame, it's a never-ending, worn-out path Sometimes we say, things that we don't mean but the color in the eyes, of envy are always green Sometimes you feel, like your back's against a wall sometimes you gotta swallow your pride, you gotta get up when you fall I know the right way, ain't always the smoothest road but that's the price you pay, if you wanna loosen the load (CHORUS) And I think it's safe to say, it would've happened anyway you'll never know unless you try And I think it's plain to see, it'll happen if it's meant to be you gotta win that war with your pride Sometimes we use, a little more than we should I've got mine, you got yours, we know that it's understood To each his own way, you gotta spread your wings and fly you'll see me again some day, if tomorrow doesn't pass me by (CHORUS) And I think it's safe to say, I see it happen everyday some things just fade away before their time I'll be there if you need me, close your eyes and you will see my memory will never die To each his own way, you gotta spread your wings and fly you'll see me again some day, if tomorrow doesn't pass me by and I know the right way, ain't always the smoothest road but that's the price you pay, if you wanna loosen the load (CHORUS) And I think it's safe to say, it doesn't matter anyway but the dreams for which we reach, get lost in a haze and I hope that you will see, it's the same for you and me you can, rise above or fade away
