When I started putting the production of 'Easy' together I was thinking 'minimalistic' and I really like the way it came out. Because of the minimal backing the vocal really jumps out.
Just me, a synth and a computer...
Story behind the song
Written May 28, 2006, this song was an angry (but sad) reply to a bigot who insisted that glaringly flawed logic justified his hateful beliefs.
Lyrics
There's no changing your mind, is there now?
After all there's no problem anyway
Even if you were so inclined
You have to think, what would people say?
Black and white
Wrong or right
Is it ever that easy?
If lines get blurred
And lies averred
How about now?
There's no saving you from yourself, is there now?
Just too happy in your cozy little womb
But it's probably just as well
Any compromise could mean the end of you
Black and white
Wrong or right
Is it ever that easy?
If lines get blurred
And lies averred
How about now?
