another poem by dad showing his overcoming spirit...i think i can see him praising the Lord during the chorus the way he was in spirit as he wrote the poem...
ON THIS GLORIOUS, SON-FILLED MORNING original
poem
On this glorious, Son-filled morning,
On the Mountain of my Lord - -
I walk, with love-filled praises
For my Savior and my King.
In the darkest hour of the night spent,
He sent His angels with His word - -
And healed my broken spirit
Of its cancer and its dearth.
He removed the awful pain and torment
When in trust to Him I came - -
To walk with Him upon the Mountain
Filled with power, peace and praise.
Jesus comes to those who love Him
More than misery, death and hate - -
Will you look with me to Jesus,
Serve Him new in joy and grace?

On This Glorious Son-Filled Morning
Verse one
On this glorious, Son-filled morning,
On the Mountain of my Lord- -
I walk, with love-filled praises
For my Savior and my King.
In the darkest hour of night spent,
He sent angels with His word- -
And healed my broken spirit
Of its cancer and its dearth.
Chorus
So, I’ll sing on this Son-filled morn’!
I’ll shout with the victory,
Tell everyone of the love of God
And what He’s done for me!
Oh, I’ll sing on this Son-filled morn’!
I’ll shout with the victory,
Share the news of the Son of God,
And how He’ll set you free! Oh, I’ll sing! Yeah!
Verse two
He removed the pain and torment
When in trust to Him I came - -
To walk upon the Mountain
Filled with power, peace and praise.
Jesus comes to those who love Him
More than misery, death and hate - -
Won’t you look with me to Jesus,
Serve Him new in joy and grace?
