An old number of mine with new life breathed into it by the wonderful Dawns and Jim.
I originally created the music for this over twenty years ago. As a result of my collaboration with some other SoundClickers I got to know Dawn Sinclair who decided to write some lyrics for it. After rearranging it to fit the lyrics two sets of stunning vocals were added by Dawn Diamond and Jim Rustemeyer. I never thought this peice could be turned from an ambient instrumental into a song but Dawn S proved me wrong and with the vocal talents of Dawn D and Jim I think we've done it justice.

Eyes searching,
researching
who's out there
who's out there?
This feeling
revealing
my soul bare
who's out there?
Are you watching me?
Have you eyes to see
Will I ever know
Only time might show
Coloured bands of light
Ribbons dark and bright
Draw my eyes to see
Are you watching me?
thud of the thunder and a flash of the light
brain cells pulsing to perpetual night
heartbeat’s racing in a body weak with fright
and your frozen like a corpse but you’ve gotta take the flight
drawn to the moment and you’re trapped in your mind
then unfurl the striations, let eternity unwind
what you are seeing is illusion of a kind
and you’re frozen like a corpse in continuums of time
thud of the thunder and a flash of the light
your brain cells pulsing to perpetual night
heartbeat’s racing in a body weak with fright
and your frozen like a corpse but you’ve gotta take the flight
swept in the jetstreams, counterclockwise in the swirls
the solar winds are pounding as your toes begin to curl
eyeballs rolling now the pupils are black pearls
but Jupiter is magnetised, you can’t escape its whirl
thud of the thunder and a flash of the light
your brain cells pulsing to perpetual night
heartbeat’s racing in a body weak with fright
and your frozen like a corpse but you’ve gotta take the flight
