It makes me sad when my fellow Christians ignore the conviction of the Holy Spirit because of their desire for popularity and the things of the world. This song is written to warn a believer not to turn out the lights, in other words, don't cut yourself off from the truth of God.

Adam said the same thing and all humanity paid the dues. Can’t you get a clue. It’s a decision that God has enabled you to make. And there are Christians out their who will help you when you break under temptation, worse is the temptation not to try. Jesus the son is out their shining, you’ve turned out the lights why?
Partying, part of being, in college, accept it, when 4 years are over I’ll be done with that and have left it, I’ve got fraternal bros that I have to please, and eternal clothes don’t seem to fit well on me, but I’ll grow up into that size, man when will you realize, that Jesus return to earth is gonna be a surprise. Flash before your eyes will your heart be sunk, that Christ came back, he called for you and he found you drunk. Busy pleasing the things of the flesh, so the fruit of the Spirit hasn’t germinated yet, don’t forget what can happen when alcohol permeates your head, wake up in bed with someone with a disease, or everybodies fled as your puking on your knees here comes the police, a human consequence, but some can get so drunk they lose their consciousness, it makes me nauxious yes to think of God’s child not watchin’ for him, but watching for your friends next 21st Birthday, I’m sure it hurts your Lord, just as sure as it hurts me, are you a man who loves darkness or a man who loves light. This song has been sung you know too many times. God’s people mix with evil and then sacrifice their lives. Don’t become a statistic be set apart. With Christ’s Spirit, Christ’s teaching and with Christ’s heart. So turn off the TV’s throw out the CD’s , use discernment with movies, and maybe start reading a book that will place God’s thoughts in your head. And remember God wants you for Him so read the things that he said.
