This a song that Robert DePriest sent me to put some music too. It came out a good bar party tune. I did my best George T. imitation on it. Trying to sound gravelily voiced whiskey drinking musician.
Lying on the sidewalk, outside O’Reilly’s bar
I tripped on my shadow, crawling to my car.
I know when I've been drinking, I really shouldn't drive.
So I stood up, lit one up and went on back inside.
Drinking whiskey and smoking cigarettes.
This is where you end up, this is what you get.
People say I'm crazy, they say that I should quit.
Drinking whiskey and smoking cigarettes.
I like to spend my money on smokes and double shots.
‘Cause nicotine and alcohol's the 2 best friends I got.
They say that whiskey's evil, and smoking is a sin.
But I say, “Take a toke, hold the smoke, set 'em up again.”
Drinking whiskey and smoking cigarettes.
This is where you end up, this is what you get.
I know that it’s crazy, that hasn’t stopped me yet.
Drinking whiskey and smoking cigarettes.
So when my life is over, as they put me in the ground.
Sprinkle some tobacco and a fifth of Seven Crown.
The day I get to heaven, if I ever get that far.
I hope that old St. Peter will let me tend the bar.
I’ll put a sign above the door for all my friends to see.
"Smoke 'em if you've got 'em. Have a drink on me."
Drinking whiskey and smoking cigarettes.
This is where you end up, this is what you get.
I’m never going to stop it, I’m never going to quit.
Drinking whiskey and smoking cigarettes.
