Story behind the song
This is a rewrite, lyrically, of an observation from the days when Ronald Reagan was president, pertinent again when the Supreme Court is populated with Reagan and Bush I appointees.
Lyrics
Kate Harris and bro' Jeb Bush Lock step when shoving comes to push Ends justify deceitful means Democracy ain't what it seems Don't you hate that crap? They just keep lyin' all the time. Scalia, Thomas, Rehnquist, too, Knew what they had been hired to do Conflict of interest by design When Georgie says its payback time. Don't you hate that crap? They just keep lyin' all the time. Wouldn't they want to recount all the votes When the ballots a true winner didn't show? They say, "Just say, 'No!'", and Keep on lyin' all the time George W. and Cheney Dick Couldn't win without a slimy trick To Washington they had to run States' rights just weren't that much fun Don't you hate that crap? They just keep lyin' all the time.
