Lyrics
I can hear your heart it’s crying Pain drops as your soul is sighing Holding on to hope that’s dying Held hostage by your fear I can see your dreams forsaken By a world that’s all but taken All you ever loved and wanted But, my love, you’re not alone Let me kiss you softly As the moonlight on the shore Let me taste your tears and sorrow Let me love you even more Let me hold you in your shadow As I see you in the sun Let’s not think about tomorrow Our journey’s just begun I can feel your soul it’s starving From the emptiness of harboring A painful woundedness that’s hiding Beneath your shame and fear I know that you crave surrender To a Love that’s strong and tender To heal your brokenness defended By loneliness and by tears Let me kiss you softly As the moonlight on the shore Let me taste your tears and sorrow Let me love you even more Let me hold you in your shadow As I see you in the sun Let’s not think about tomorrow Our journey’s just begun
