This makes use of two simultaneous drum tracks, a little spooky glockenspiel, and a sprinkling of lofi. Partly influenced by Barry Adamson, Tribal Dance (sorry), and Gorillaz (although I hadn't thought of it at the time).
"A spectator's guide to the apocalypse", Venemous Eye describes the orchestration of the end of the world by an unseen presence.
Baby watch, as the crowds go by
From their houses, to the town nearby.
In the blue sky, the blackbirds fly
From the visions of a venemous eye.
It pulls apart the curtains,
It blows away the blinds,
It tears away the spiders from the cobwebs of the mind.
The cocktail bars are empty, 'cause there's poison in the wine,
The classic indications of a venemous eye.
Baby watch from it's realm below
As the symptoms on the surface begin to show.
And the people, they don't know why,
They're the living, breathing, targets of a venemous eye.
It pulls apart the curtains,
It blows away the blinds,
It tears away the spiders from the cobwebs of the mind.
The cocktail bars are empty, 'cause there's poison in the wine,
The classic indications of a venemous eye.
Baby watch, as the world goes by,
Cities crumbles, black clouds blot the sky.
And there's silence as the people cry,
The vindicated victims of a venemous eye.
