song #4 for F.A.W.M 2006/ RPM Challenge. This one is a bit more folky then the others. it almost wrote itself yesterday (feb07)...unlike the past 3, this one came out in about a half hour! it's about asking for help when you need it.
peaceful, sad, hopeful, lonesome, sometimes edgy, alternative indie rock
Lyrics
V1
Angel came to me who lost her golden wand
She looked inside herself and to the deeper calm
but came up empty handed, halo hanging low
asked if I could help-----i said, i don't know
V2
I ain't so experianced, my resume is sparse
on findin' angel artifacts and mendin' angel hearts
I'll do what i can...hey, i got a friend who knows
about these sort of things and where they like to go
Chorus:
You don't know, If you don't ask
who it's gonna be, sortin' out your past
you don't know, if you don't ask
who it's gonna be , sortin' out your past
V3
Songbird came to me at the rising of the dawn
lost his melody, in a thunderstorm
we searched the quiet waters
searched the dancing leaves
from the maple sapling to the redwood tree
Lost Soul came to me, one i did not know
confessional embrace with a despairation hold
he said I got nobody to listen to me, friend,
will you lend an ear, I said here I am
Chorus
v5
We found the golden wand, found the songbird song
Lost Soul found a friend, Lost Soul found an arm
to lend a helping hand to a meloncholy heart
golden wand, songbird song, Lost Soul played a part.....
