Lyrics
You're Losing Me ©2002 D. Kenealy
I'm a strong willed woman, and I married a hard headed man.
One thing after another we never agree.
Doesn't matter the subject, we have totally opposite views,
One of us has to back down and it's always me.
I say it's black, you think it's white, seems that all we do is fight,
I'm always wrong, you're always right.
I say it's real, you think it's fake, no matter what, it's my mistake,
I always give, you always take.
You win every time we disagree,
But this time you're losing baby, you're losing me.
Spent a decade wishing, we could just go back in time.
Things were really good those early years.
Guess I'm kind of foolish, to have hung around this long,
But I had to wait 'til I ran out of tears.
I say it's black, you think it's white, seems that all we do is fight,
I'm always wrong, you're always right.
I say it's real, you think it's fake, no matter what, it's my mistake,
I always give, you always take.
You win every time we disagree,
But this time you're losing baby, you're losing me.
You don't see it coming and you think you're in control.
But when you wake tomorrow, you will know.
I say it's black, you think it's white, seems that all we do is fight,
I'm always wrong, you're always right.
I say it's real, you think it's fake, no matter what, it's my mistake,
I always give, you always take.
You win every time we disagree,
But this time you're losing baby, you're losing me.
"You win every time we disagree, but this time you're losing baby, you're losing me." That is such a great finale to the chorus because it's a play on words of sorts. Great job with that line. It's catchy and unique. I also like the rest of your chorus because I'm drawn to opposition and shows how these two people really do live in separate words. Catchy melody, as well. Just a nice job all around on this one. :)
