This song is about growing up and remembering the way it used to be when you were 5 to 8 years old
Fallbrook Ln. is the street where drummer Kyle George grew up. It's mostly about the things he used to do when he was a boy, but the rest of us threw our two cents into the mix as well.
I miss recess
I miss watching Sesame Street
I miss all those seemingly little things
Miss playing hockey
In the court outside my house
All I do now, is fuck around lay on my couch
Miss my first girlfriend
Miss the fun that we would have
Thinkin' about these things, it makes me sad
I think about those days before I went insane
Those days on Fallbrook Lane
Try to rid myself of thoughts that cause me pain
From my days on Fallbrook Lane
Well you know it's hard to understand what I'm going through
Unless you too have been through,
Those days on Fallbrook
Looking back now
I see how things have changed
Things were beautiful, but now there's just ugly days
All my friends now
Have moved on to better things
They like the cool clothes and the popularity it brings
The fun of yesterday
Meets the tragedy of now
Innocense is lost, and I don't know
How things have changed 'round here
Things are different now, but not to fear
I think about those days before I went insane
Those days on Fallbrook Lane
Try to rid myself of thoughts that cause me pain
From my days on Fallbrook Lane
Well you know it's hard to understand what I'm going through
Unless you too have been through,
Those days on Fallbrook
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Nothing is the same
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Down on Fallbrook Lane
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Nothing is the same
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Down on Fallbrook
I think about those days before I went insane
Those days on Fallbrook Lane
Try to rid myself of thoughts that cause me pain
From my days on Fallbrook Lane
Well you know it's hard to understand what I'm going through
Unless you too have been through,
Those days on Fallbrook
Those days on Fallbrook
Those days on Fallbrook Lane
