An ode to the daily commute.
Traffic Jam Boogie
Up every morning at the break of day
Out the door to make my way
Jump on the freeway and join the commute
Bumper to bumper traffic, lets all pollute
Chorus
No where to exit and no where to go
A walking old lady speeds by my door
Smug bastard driving in the HOV
Flying past and waving at me
Always the same, no relief
Slower and slower, beyond belief
I’m gonna be late, there’s no doubt
Does no good to gesture and shout
Chorus
Watch out, don’t veer in my lane
Why does everybody drive so insane
Don’t get so close, get off my rear
To drive this highway you live in fear
Wish I could quit or telecommute
It’s scarier every day to drive this route
I love to drive my automobile
But riding in rush hour has no appeal
Chorus
Watch out, don’t veer in my lane
Why does everybody drive so insane
Don’t get so close get off my rear
To drive this highway you live in fear
