The first song off of The Demonstration album; the Debut from BlackSoultan Ad Infinitum.
Soul Life just hit me as a great party track. It sounded like getting out half day on a friday while the sun's still up, heading to the beach knowing there are fine girls there.
When I sat down to write this one, I wanted it to sound light hearted like that. I wanted to brag a little about my skill but be real with it. I wanted to say things in this song that were almost just wrong but so right: "I'm the biggest export from the Bahamas since Drugs". But I only had two verses for that.
The last verse was a part of a diss track I never recorded. It was the tamest of the three verses written for it. I left it pretty anonymous, but the cat I wrote it for knows exactly what it's about. The beef behind it is so dead and gone now, but the song remains because I ain't finna remix it.
