Lyrics
I stare at the map and find comfort in the name of where you are. Would you need me there I’d know the way. I’m not looking back but I catch myself when I think ahead too far instead of living in the day. Ten thousand things will rise and fall away. I’d chase the sun for nightfall in the open spaces to climb away and while away the hours to be the one you walk beside when your heart races. Change your mind, the shadows just get longer as the day winds down. Take hold, take heed, godspeed. Ten thousands things will rise and fall, you’ll watch them fade away. I go sometimes but I’m OK. Once to return but not the same. Once to remember how it is. Once to return and reminisce. Take hold of what you need. Keep holding on to me. I hang on to this geography and get it down with pens and paper pads. I’d be glad if I could find some other way. Chase the sun and leave for open spaces. (Ten thousand things will rise and fall away)
