A different kind of love song. Don't let the verse's fool you. Catch the chorus.

Story behind the song
I've never been good at love songs because I've never felt that I needed anybody. I've been alone most of my life. I also don't care much for wish-washy songs. This one's not and it came pretty natural. It might be because my wife (who I wrote the song for and love very much) isn't all that wishy-washy. She takes me as the Grog-like biker I am without complaints!
Lyrics
I don't need you I don't have to have you in my life I'm not dependent I can take good care of myself I can live alone I don't need anyone near me at all (Chorus) If I want to live with no color in my world If I want to feel like the darkness has no end If I never want to smile again I'll walk away from you And never look back again I can live without you I'm pretty sure my heart will still beat I can write my own songs I've never needed a symphony I can be alone I don't need anyone near me at all (Chorus) If I want to live with no color in my world If I want to feel like the darkness has no end If I never want to smile again I'll walk away from you And never look back again (Bridge) I don't need you But you lit this fire That burns in my soul Your the half that makes me whole (Chorus) If I want to live with no color in my world If I want to feel like the darkness has no end If I never want to smile again I'll walk away from you And never look back again
