Story behind the song
We recorded this song in Asbury Park, NJ at The Music Booth November 3rd, 2000 right before the national presidential election. This was a very pivotal event. for this was the first time that I actually did the lyrics with my voice. My friend and co producer Wayne Hughley convinced me that I should. And as they say, the rest is history.

11/3/2000 Once again it’s election time, the mudslinging and has begun, Some say, it’s an all time high. We’ve got Bush and Gore with Bush a little to the right and Gore a little to the left. And I outside of it all you have Buchanan on the far right and Nader on the far left. The question is, will we choose an ecological state, or a police state. Will women have the right to choose what happens to their own bodies, or someone in government. Too much is at stake to sit by idly by, and say nothing. All the civil rights of blacks have fought for, over the last 40 plus years, can go right down the drain like rotor router. Or do you really care?
