Story behind the song
In 1966, one of the biggest up-and-coming actors of the time, Omar Sharif (Doctor Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia) divorces his wife. In 2003, whilst being interviewed on the Jonathon Ross Show, he explains why. He was terrified that on the set of one of his films, he would meet a pretty young lady and break his wifes heart by cheating on her. When you come to think of it, there are worse things that you can do to the people you love than leave them.
