Craig O'Manion is an unwilling poet who happened to come along in an age of electric guitars and his introverted career and deep lyrics that often weave themselves around in circles have always kept him at odds with popular notions about how a rock musician should sound, act and live. His 400+ songs have spanned several years playing as a solo artist and in The Beavers and before that Frictional Mission. Craig O'Manion sang lead, played guitar and wrote for Georgia bands The Beavers and Frictional Mission. This site is an overview of both The Beavers, Frictional Mission and some of his solo recordings.

Lyrics
she said i'm gonna be a long way away by the time that morning comes she said i'm gonna make those bastards pay but she still wants to get her some somewhere in the center of the universe time stands still somewhere in the center of your mind your thoughts all chill you will feel that peace of course you will - you will somewhere on video on your mind the frame stands still you always thought of leaving everything behind but you know you never will you still feel the touch you wanted so much so much everything was like i thought it would be everything just came rolling to me but the wait didnt come easily why would i want you to know where i've come from candles burning while you're walking along i hide my learning inside of this song i put my feelings where they belong why would i want you to know where i've come from she picks my ticket up my suitcase and i'm off again riding just ahead of a dustry trail of smoke and wind i know my baby like i know any friend speaking of those i've got a few left to let me in..... somewhere in a forgotten place avoiding every face non linear way out of phase phenomena takes place someplace in another place and time right now you're standing still we wouldn't want to blow any little minds but you know we always will you still feel so much you won't lose your touch too much and she said i'm feeling so down i want to go down to the freeway and leave this town i'm feeling better i don't feel this way i'm feeling better - i wrote you a letter i think i must have left it under your door i don't feel this way - i'm feeling better now i just don't feel either way anymore -she said i'm gonna be a long way away but the time that morning comes.
