A normal-length song played by your's truly. All production was done in my basement. Multiple tracks were ripped to make this song, one each for vocals, leads, and the main acoustic structure. Thanks to Zack Stant, the lyrical genius behind this.

Zack, being the lyrical genius he is, during one of the many sessions where we talked about life and all that stuff, thought of how hard it would be to be against everything, and that that seemed to be a fad now: smoke cigarettes, hate the government, don't believe in God, etc. So, I sat with a guitar, and played these two chords over and over, and he just managed to come up with a story about a girl that is trying to build up the stereotype of being this social reject, and yet, deep down inside, she knows that you just have to live, and accept that life is how it is because that's how it needs to be. And so, we wrote the song.
She's spent her whole life trying to be a rebel
in a time when there ain't not much left to fight against.
She says she doesn't believe in the devil.
If he did exist, he'd probably look like the president.
And she knows, and she knows
Not to believe every little thing your told.
And she sees, and she sees
There's no doubt you've gotta exhale, if you want to breathe.
She says she's scared to death of dying
as she strikes the match to light up her next cigarette.
She hates the government for lying.
Says "he" brainwashes the youth using the internet.
And she knows, and she knows
Not to believe every little thing your told.
And she sees, and she sees,
There's no doubt you've gotta exhale if you want to breathe.
