A song about old times, the good and the bad.
punk political social roc
A solo punk band with songs ranging from politics to social issues to evolutionary biology.
Lacking any real musical talent, I decided to use Punk-o-Matic to create some generic punk backgrounds to the various songs I had written. Recorded at low quality through a computer microphone, the songs are not musical masterpieces but the lyrics are still strong. Give it a listen, you might enjoy it.

Lyrics
So here I am looking back on what I’ve done, And I can’t help but recall the glory days in the sun, Four years ago to this date I do recall, When I lived the greatest summer of them all, Four friends together before the world collapsed, Before we went out separate ways with time’s pass, Ian, Luke, Josh and myself down at the shore Going from Pier 18 to the general store Three meals a day on our parent’s charge At Do Me a Flavor next to the lumber yard Spent the days on the bay, nights at the beach Everything and everyone seemed within our reach Crisscrossing the country with a group of friends The regattas on the trapeze in howling winds From Jersey to Maryland to Bristol, Rhode Island In the white Expedition with the Edie Bauer Trim And the JYC outings as we neared the fall Like the pine barrens extravaganza paintball Those were the days, god damnit, I swear I’d give almost anything to get back there Like when Ian and I used to play the Galaga machine At the Record Rack I can see in my dreams There was a Perfect Dark and a Mario Party As many as eight in a cramped hallway Like when Luke hit his eye on the table edge Screamed so loud I swear he woke the dead Through it all he kept a positive demeanor “Take a picture”, this will be funny later Like when Josh would get pancakes at the Chegg, Or When Ian and I finally beat him down a peg, Those were the days, god damnit, I swear Pretty sure I’d give anything to be back there But when I dig deep some more There is a sour taste and a vile odor The acidic kick to the devil’s ale The deceit not covered by the sails My eyes sting, they’re on fire Aggravated by the fucking liar Is this what six years meant to you? Left and abandoned and it is through Go pound the clubs and ride the waves I guess it didn’t mean anything anyway Those were some days, god damnit, I swear I wouldn’t be caught dead back in there
