A disturbing and invigorating amalgam of grind, doom, Goth, Americana, and acid-drenched Texas redneck. Industrial-tinged and menacing but simultaneously organi
There's a smell on the air in rural Spring Hill and it ain't pretty. Take a big whiff of a SEBOS CD and see if the odorous particles have stuck. That's cow manure, man. Lots of cow manure. This is the breeding ground for SEBOS - a sweaty, smelly, mosquito infested world. You see, SEBOS is the brainchild of one man, David J. Patterson. He writes, plays, records, produces, masters and "births" SEBOS from his own Beaumont Studios. The result is an unusual blend of heavy rock, blues and country, all filtered through shaky guitars, keyboards and a drum machine. In the past, David worked in a group setting as vocalist in Tampa Bay area bands including Lead, Angel Spitt and Pale Rider, but he just couldn't get along with others. Now on his own with SEBOS, David has the perfect vehicle for projecting his musical vision to the world. SEBOS cites The Beatles, Sonic Youth, Kyuss, Melvins, High on Fire, Prince and Tom Waits among his favorite artists, but it may take a few listens to hear their influence. The music SEBOS most enjoys tends to be a little different. Not overly experimental to attract only fringe elements, but different enough to be surprising. That's what SEBOS hopes to create with his music.

Story behind the song
The angst of oncoming adulthood and losing the magic of the teen years. Luckily, growing up wasn't as bad as I thought.
Lyrics
Lesson One, Volume 20 I think I may have heard a noise Is the boogie-man out there It is just the shadows tricks Have no care It's the rite that I passed first It's the best lesson I've learned Although flame can be a friend It always burns I'd have faith in all my dreams But there is no Santa Claus I've my address memorized If I'm lost Although I have done much wrong I'm the apple of ma's eye Although I've had to swallow soap I never lie And now every thing is learned I have stopped going to school But when I make a mistake Sit in the corner fool I'm a man
