Spending a few years in jail and waiting for
parol gives a person time to think of what he
lost and loosing everything except the dream of
one day getting to leave.

I have never been in jail, nor do I want to be but I was playing my guitar one day and the words just rolled out.... I started to think about what life would be like to be in the same place for a few years and that was motivation for the song lyrics as well as the idea that jail is not a place I would like to spend my vacation at.
Ride like the Wind written and performed by Michael McAda.
Here I am staring at these four walls of mine
Ain't doing nothing, just doing time
I've lost my hope, lost my will to live
Ain't got nothin, nothin left to give
But one day I'll be free
and I'll ride like the wind
Ride ride ride ride like the wind
then reality sets in.
I'm a broken man with broken dreams and lives
Lost my way as a teen, stealing and telling lies
so I found myself in jail just doing time
So here I am staring at these walls of mine
But one day I'll be free
and I'll ride like the wind
Ride ride ride ride like the wind
then reality sets in.
