Cryptameria is a progressive, melodic metal band that strives to remain true to the spirit of the genre and create thought-provoking lyrics coupled with dark melodies, powerful riffs and pounding drums. Founded by drummer Tim "Smurf" Parks in 1996, the group has evolved into a musically mature line-up guaranteed to satisfy their listeners. Cryptameria completed their EP Shadows Apart last April and will be back in the studio in March 2005 to record its follow up.
