Ghost Of The Harvest Moon
Peekin' through the trees
On a foggy night.
Carving silhouettes
In it's smokey light
Down on the bayou,
Somethin' just ain't right...
I swear I saw the ghost of the harvest moon.
The air was thick
With an afterglow.
As it carried 'round
A big halo
In the eerie light,
I saw you too.
Dancin' with the ghost of the harvest moon.
People say I'm crazy,
Certifiable.
And though I might act strange sometimes,
It's undeniable
It's been seven years now, since you've gone
And I'm still holdin' on...
It only happens
One time a year
I guess they're right.
I'm filled with fear
I see your face
When you're not really here
I know you're with the ghost of the harvest moon.
You've been gone so long,
I know that you're not here,
I know you're with the ghost of the harvest moon.
With the ghost of the harvest moon.
Just the ghost of the harvest moon.
