Gunmen in Cambodia have critically wounded a singer described as the voice of the opposition, royalist FUNCINPEC party.
Twenty-four-year-old Touch Sunnich was shot in the cheek and eye, and her mother was killed in the attack.
Four men riding on two motorcycles opened fire as the women were getting into their car outside a florist shop in the Cambodian capital, Phon Penh.
Two of the gunmen were in military uniforms and two in civilian clothes.
The AFP news agency says Touch Sunnich is renowned for her pop songs and her rendition of the FUNCINPEC anthem on the party's Ta Prum radio station.
