Story behind the song
I wrote this song while looking at some photographs of my ex-wife. I imagined myself in the picture, and said some of the things I wanted to say to her. And, of course, I kept some of them to myself.
Lyrics
Other Than That It's good to see your face again, Even though you put me through some hell. Me, I'm doin' fine right now, Writing songs and talkin' to myself. I wish that I could pay you back For all you've given me, 'Cause a broken heart ain't really all That it's cracked up to be. Other than that, Things are getting better. I rest just fine when I cry myself to sleep. Other than that, I think I'm finally over you. I see your face in everyone I meet. Other than that, If everyone would stop sayin' I'm crazy, I'd be fine... Other than that. I called your cell phone by mistake, Lookin' for another place to live. I can't stay in our old place The walls remember too much to forgive. My mama says that I'll be fine, Give it a week or two. But I could spend another lifetime Getting over you. Other than that, Things are getting better. I rest just fine when I cry myself to sleep. Other than that, I think I'm finally over you. I see your face in everyone I meet. Other than that, If everyone would stop sayin' I'm crazy, I'd be fine... Other than that. © 2005 CowboySlim, BMI July 7, 2005 4:53 AM
