Rockier song for me. *Shrugs* About "her" again. She left on friday. This was written Saturday
"She" left for Germany on Friday night, aboard the midnight flight. I went up to the Airport to see her off, and it was pretty tough. This was sort of about the letter I wrote to her, to open when she got on the plane.
At school assembally on Friday, I sang Coldplay's The Scientist to the whole school, dedicated to her.
I stuck the guitar pic I used in there, along with a side note of "This was the pick I used to play my last song to you"
And also my school ball ticket (like, prom ticket) because I went to the ball etc..
Then it went to her leaving, and me hoping that the things in the letter would do our time together justice.
The time has come
So take all thats mine, and I'll go
Look after the sentimental (centimental?)
And tresure the memories
-------
CHORUS
-------
I will sarcafice
A part of who I am
if you promise me
one last thing
Don't forget me
and don't regret me
----------
Can you picture
What i see each day
now the midnight flight
has taken you so far away
Throw one last look
in my general direction
And feel the tears
drop to the floor
========
CHORUS
========
Walk down the runway
don't look back
fight to hold
your low spirits high
If I could give you more
you know it'd be yours
but the distance between us
forgets to care for us
:::: CHORUS::::
:::: ADITIONAL CHORUS::::
The song I sang
just two days ago
is the inevitable reminder
that emptyness is a feeling
CHORUS etc etc.
