this song is written to be from the mindset of one of our soldiers overseas trying to fight for freedom and liberty, though it may have already been lost. this battle has become nothing but politics. we have forgotten why it was started and have forgotten about the people. so this is for the soldiers who still have hope that freedom is near.
OH, i heard my mother weeping for my innocence
knowing that i'd face the evils of our predjudice
i saw my father turn his head as i marched awy
and i heard him say "America"
i was flown onto the frontline of this battlefield.
someone's homeland we've destroyed instead of healed
here i learned to lvoe my brothers and my sisters too
as we fight for you, America
*i will fight for freedom like my fathers did
i will face my grave with pride
i will keep my head raised high
i will sing your songs with honor i will sing them loud
do i make you proud? America*
standing in these trenches in the pooring rain
trying to pretend our hands have not been stained
and trying to forget the faces lying on the ground
as i look arround, where's America?
I fear liberty's been lost somewhere inside this war
and that somehow we've forgotten what we're fighting for
and i know that in my lifetime i have made mistakes
i'm part of the human race, America
(repeat *-*)
America Home of the Brave
amd i brave enough? am i stron enough?
America, Land of the Free
i'll fight for thee, America
(repeat *-*)
