I play a combination of original and cover tunes. I made a living for years as a bass player, now I have regained my amateur status. My style is a cross between Dan Hicks, Woody Guthrie, and Willis Alan Ramsey. I particularly enjoy the songs of John Townes van Zandt. I also love guitar arrangement of jazz standards and am trying to incorporate some of that feel into my new material.

Story behind the song
I was working with some jazz standards (Fly Me to the Moon) and 'borrwed' a couple of the changes to put this together.
Lyrics
I'm saving all my teardrops Wrapping each heartbreak in blue i listen close to each tick tock Each morning each evening I do I'm sitting right where you left me Ceiling, four walls, and a floor A light in the window A rose by the door A smile just for you And so much more Hope loves the first hint of summer Earth holds each small drop of rain I watch I wait I wonder When you will be near me again I'm saving all my teardrops Wrapping each heartbreak in blue I hope you remember how much you love me Remember how much I love you
