Story behind the song
This was written during a time of healing and of realization. The title was an attempt to capture the moment and fit the song's premise that the sadness wasn't something that could be easily forgotten or overcome. It would have to mend a tear at a time. All my songs are essentially live. They are recorded in one take and no studio tricks (like punch-ins, overdubbing, or cut and paste) were used.
