I wrote this after my Mom died. She used to sing this old Irish Lullaby to me when I was a child.

UPDATE: I'm getting a "new" website, www.monicaashtonproductions.com that will hopefully be up and running Sept. 1, 2007. I'll probably still keep the Soundclick.com site since a lot of people know I'm on here, but you will be able to purchase my new CD on the new website, as well as get information on my "budding" film composition career. Thanks to Soundclick, my career has taken off. I can actually afford to make a website now using my own name...couldn't have done this without Soundclick and the exposure it gave me when I decided to pursue a full-time career as a musician back in 2002. Thanks, Soundclick.

Story behind the song
After my Mom died, this song came to me as something to honor her memory. She always sang this song to me as a child. She had a beautiful soprano voice. I played this for a Faculty Concert where I was teaching, a few days after I wrote it. It's still a work in progress, but I thought it was appropriate, since it was around St. Patrick's Day, and it's an Irish tune. I'm probably going to work on this more and include it in my upcoming Solo CD. Enjoy!
